Target Fall, 2005, Meeting Time: Mondays (once/month), 11-12, PAR102

We will explore Second Life software's potential as a CWRL teaching aid.
This exploration will involve at least one Spring 2006 classroom pilot;
generation of software documentation and training exercises; and, in April,
2006, a written evaluation of the usefulness of the software in the CWRL and
the technical feasibility of large-scale implementation and recommendations for
software customizations that will make Second Life user-friendly for CWRL
instructors.
We have previewed the program interface and begun to delegate
responsibilities within the group. We are applying for an education account
with the vendor and tapping Division of Rhetoric and Writing faculty familiar
with the software for guidance on technical and pedogogical issues. This
November we will finalize group members' roles and devise a project timeline.
